Meet Jacoyia Felder

“I empower folks to reclaim the past and forge a new family legacy forward.”

Jacoyia Felder, mother of four and sister to many, is a poet, memory worker, and strategist who helps people preserve their past and shape the legacy they want to leave behind.

She is the founder of Legacy Remastered, an initiative that empowers families, leaders, and everyday storytellers to (re)build and (re)shape their legacies.

Drawing on a background in poetry, nonprofit leadership, and systems strategy, Jacoyia merges artistic storytelling with practical tools—from archiving family history and home videos to transforming interviews into books, digital collections, and intergenerational resources. Her work honors those who came before while creating space for what’s yet to come.

At the core of every offering is her belief that everyone carries a story worth sharing, and the clarity to tell it can be transformational.

Jacoyia’s approach combines art, education, and empowerment. Whether she’s consulting with families, collaborating with cultural institutions, or hosting memory workshops in community spaces, her work builds bridges between generations.

Coy's poetry beautifully intertwines the divine and flawed aspects of womanhood, motherhood, and sisterhood, reflecting her deep appreciation for the multifaceted feminine experience. Passionate about creating transformative spaces, she invites individuals to explore and celebrate their unique stories, honoring, healing, and embracing every part of life's journey.

Join Coy on a heartfelt exploration through her poetry, where her words resonate as an inspiring call to embrace the richness and complexity of the shared human experience. Experience the transformative power of her art and witness the profound impact of embracing womanhood, legacy, spirituality, and personal growth.
